Travel to another country.

Some years earlier i probably have say England, not even thinking the answer a little, but now i think in a lot of countries, like Australia, South Korea, Japan, Spain or France. Although my love for England remains, in this moment i want to travel to Germany, even i dont know how to speak in german, but i would like to learn.

All this "love" for Germany was basically determined by all the talking of a friend of mine that travel to Germany at 2010, he said it was all so organized, all people respect traffic light and walk in right or left side of the sidewalk depends if they are going to somewhere or leaving that place. I was punish by law if you touch someone in a public place and that person doesn't want to be touched, or helped. But still, I think I would be happy if no one touch me or push me while i am walking down the street like happends here.

My friend took a program of exchange in somewhere... like a foundation, he just have to pay 300 dolars and that foundation pays the travel and gives him a house, with a host family, and that family is responsible of feed him or pay the his school, the only think he had to do, was recieve an exchange student in his house when he come back. He recieve an student from Holland, and unfortunality he and all his family had a very bad relationship with her, because she was very lazy.

Since I was in school I have always wanted to travel to another country like an  exchange student, and I still don't lose the hope, maybe next year... or a summer in the Work and Travel program. Just need to save money! What an easy thing.

Aleksandr Ródchenko

He was a russian scultor, a painter, a graphic designer, and a photographer. He was one of the more multifaceted artist in Russia at 20's and 30's.
He was born in Saint Petersburg, in a working-class family in 1891 and died in Moscu in 1956, after studied in the Art School from Kazán. His first abstract drawings have place in 1915, influenced by the Suprematism of Kasimir Valevich. In 1916, he participated in "The Store" an exhibition organized by Vladimir Tatlin, who influenced Rodchenko a lot in his artistic career.

Is for the discipline of photography that I payed atention to him at an art history class.
He used the photographic camera to create disconcerting images, because of the advantage that with the camera he can take photos from any position. He thought that photography matched the human eye activity. He also use photography with a social commitment.
He used diferent types of planes, this impacted the spectator, and they had difficulties to recognize the object that was in the photography. Rodchenko try to release photography from all the conventions and the common point of view in those years.

I like his work because he was pioneer and he was successfull in what he did.

Chaotic Semester

Hello :D
This is a whole new term and it is very weird, I expect that at least what we see on the differents subject are close enought to what we would have seen in a normal term, anyway i know that is not too probably.

The subjects that i am taking are all the subjects i supposed to take, i am only a little late with the CEFG subjects, they are a real problem!
I am taking Photography, Digital Image, Drawing, Latinamerica Art's History, Semiotics, and Artistic project and English, of course.


I don't feel very good with all of these situation of studying in summer, but the thing that i dislike the most is that we are studying ALL december, because december to my family is chaotic (and i think almost for all the families).
Besides of all that and the fact that i hate the heat, the thing that makes me worry the most is that this semester will be shorter, and teachers are also expecting that we learn  what we usually supposed to learn, so i am already stressed with all the things that i should do and learn.

So, i hope everything goes like it has to go.

Comic Con Chile 2011

Last weekend was time for Comic-Con here in Chile, it took place in Estación Mapocho at May, 20th, 21th and 22th and of course... and went to there, only one day unfortunality(May, 21th), but it has been one of my favourites day ever, really.
I did not get bored at almost 18:00 hours! when I really feel tired and I wanted to be in my bed reading all the comic books that I bought and uploaded all the photos that I took.
I went with three friends and we arrived there at 10:00 hours, there was almost nobody there, but more fast than we thought, the people started to arrive and later was very crowded.
There was a lot of stands of fanclubs like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Glee, Dr. House, Supernatural, X files and a lot of more, of course the presence of the channel FOX and a HUGE stand were we can took photos in a Dexter' series recreation. There was another HUGE stand that only shown the trailer of "X-man: Fisr Class" and "The planet of the Apes" and the same with a stand of "Green Lantern".
One of I liked the most was the stand of Tolkien Chile, there was medieval and rustic food that we can eat there!!!
That they was the premiere of a chilean movie: "La comiquería" de Nicolás Lorca, he said that was very difficult to make this movie, and more if it is about comics. It is the real story of a pulishing company that was called Dédalos, how that all start and how that died.
In total there was 5000 people that assist to the first Comic-Con in Chile, Comic-Con 2011, and I was one of them!! that make me really happy (: Now I am very anxious to next year's Comic-Con and I wish someday I can go to San Diego's Comic-Con in USA.

VItto and I

This is my favourite photo ever, it shows my brother and I <3, it was took by a nanny that we have at that age, we were playing at our parent's bed, jumping and laughing like always.It was taken in summer of 1997 in our apartament in Rancagua. I think I was like 7 years old and my brother 4 years old. I like it, because he is my youngest and only brother! we have a really close relationship since always, of course we had fights like every couple of brothers, but we can always get over them. Now I am living with him, at my grandmother's house here in Santiago, and I think we are even more closer that before. I really think he is the best brother in the world <3
I remember when we have to go to school at different times, one year, when i was in fourth grade and I had classes in the afternoon and he had classes in the morning, we spend less time together, and when we were watching tv, we think the other one was there, and we want to comment what we see on tv, but we can't! ohh it was too sad, at that times, I really miss him.
Tomorrow is his birthday and I am making him a gift, this photo will be great as one.

And this is my second favourite photo, this was taken at 2009 when he got confirmed, I am also his sponsor and that make our relationship even more special.
My dad always says that we are the best brother and sister that  he knows... and he says he knows a lot of people.
My mom always says that she loves how we treat each other.
I know we are not as perfect as they see us, but I am happy being his sister.

Education

The education in Chile is something very important and it's a main topic of discussion these days.
According to the Human Development Index of the United Nations, Chile is in 53th place in the worldwide ranking of education quality and in 5th in Latin America after Cuba, Uruguay and Argentina. Also the University of Chile and the Catholic University of Chile are in the top 500 Universities of the world.
Unfortunality, in Chile we have very serious problems with education, but i think it's a cultural problem.
It all begins at home, with the education that our parents provide us such as basic values like not stealing or respect the older people.
But this not always happen. These children go to school where they play all day long and don't pay attention at all. There is no control by their parents, because many of them are at work, and so the kids don't take the lessons that the school provides them.
Another problem is the difference in acces to the education, because not all have the same opportunity to study, due to the differents social classes.
Education in Chile is not entirely free and so to study at the University, we must have a lot of money. Blessed are those who can, but for the people who can't do that, the State assumes responsability through scolarships and loans.
So this is how i see the education, through the eyes of a student, who spends most of her time at the University and who is concerned about these problems, because of her education depends her future.

My favourite piece of technology...

... is my "PlayStation 3" (: My dad bought it to me and my brother last year, because we asked him on our knees. Our console stays at our home in Rancagua because if we have it on Santiago we will never study or do our homeworks, although in Santiago we have my cousin's "Game Cube".

How we use it depends of the game we play, for example, in "My little big planet", a game for "Play Station 3" use the X button to jump, in "Mod Nation Racers" we use it to drift with the cars. But basically we can use it just pushing buttons and watching the tv screen.

Summer is the time we most use it, on academic year, just when we can, although we usually coordinate "Play Station meetings" in my house, or in my friends houses, when we talk, we laugh, we eat and of course, play at the console.

I like my play station 3, because i love video games so much, that i think i have a really problem and i have to go to the doctor, my life without my play station was a little boring sometimes, so if now I had not my play in my life, it would be a little boring, but there is always my computer, although I have always think that people who gets bored, just have no imagination, because we make our days interesting, we can't stay waiting for someone else to come and change our boring life.

Rainy Days

Today, i am going to write about rainy days. I like them, and more if I am with my family and in my home in Rancagua, where I have salamander stove and a warm bed, the sound of the rain in the roof is extraordinary, give me a sensation of peace. My pets always get out and get wet! so that is not something very good, because house gets dirty. In Santiago, I don't have anything of this, so it is a little cold, even with a gas stove on first floor.
Of course I don't like rainy days when I have to go outside my house, to take pictures or hang out with friends.
When I start to think about all people that have no home, and must stay at streets, my love for rainy days decrease, that makes me sad,  i really want that someday nobody have to stay under rain freezing, that everybody can stay in their houses warm and relax, earing the relaxing sound of the rain in the roof.
This weekend was like this, I spend a very quiet and warm easter friday with my family, watching movies, playing poker, staying at bed, a very relaxed day.

The Drawing Room

I am going to talk about a web page that I like, this is The Drawing Room, and the website is: http://www.drawingroom.nl/.
At the beggining we can explore the scene that the page provides us, clicking in differents areas, it is very interesting and funny! When you find were you can see the rest of website, you go to a plataform, were you can find a lot of artist that make illustration and animation.
I visit this website very often because i like a lot of illustrators and I've never seen the whole website completly, and if I have done it, I don't remember, the truth is that I love watching them one, and two and three times.
I think my style of drawing, when I draw, personal thing, it is very similar of some of the drawing that I found in this site, that makes me feel better about what I am doing, it is not so weird.

My pets

I really love my pets, if they die today i will die too! I have three dogs, three adorable dogs <3. The older one is called "Luna", is a female black dog who has 9 years old, I am the most close person to her at home.  She has not been a mother and she never will, because she had a very serious Pyometra, she got an infection, anemia and the vet had to remove her uterus. Yes... so sad, i wanted littles puppies running all over the house, although maybe my parents didn't like it very much.
The next dog who arrived at my house it is called "Fido" from the latin "fidus", that means loyal, is a male white puddle toy. He has always been very loving with everybody at home, but with who he demostrated always more his feeling was with my mom, they love each other. He was Father, but he can't be it again in future.
And the last, but not least is "Bruno", Fido's son. He is also a male white puddle toy dog, a little bigger than his father, and I think is for that reasson that he almost always won at fights. For all the tons of fights they had, my parents decided to neuter both of them, and it really works! Bruno has always been more close to my brother Victor, they play a lot together.
Well, no matter who is more close to who, i love them all!

Yes, this is my first post here. Hi! My name is Daniela. I'm not usually use this kind of internet pages, because the most of times i don't know how to name it, i have a real problem with that, i use frecuently Facebook of course, and Twitter sometimes,  but here I am in this blog.
I really hope this method bring us a lot of knowledge and experience with this language. By the way, i like to learn languages, in this moment i know portuguese almost perfectly and im going to be in korean classes on saturdays, this saturday it will be my first class and im a little exciting about it.
I'm also exciting because i have just bought my new digital camera, a Fujifilm S2500, its so beautiful!
Now i think im going to finish my "welcome post" because my teacher is pushing us to follow her blog!
